Driving Stem Cell Research Towards Therapy - Symposium 2012 UK

2012 is an historic year for the MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine as we celebrate the official opening of the new Scottish Centre for Regenerative Medicine Building and the culmination of the remarkable scientific career of Professor Sir Ian Wilmut OBE FRS. To mark these two important events we are holding an International Scientific Symposium in Edinburgh on May the 21st and 22nd 2012.

The symposium entitled “Driving Stem Cell research Towards Therapy” will bring together an outstanding list of international experts in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. The 2 day meeting includes a special session to specifically honour Sir Ian’s contribution with keynote presentations from fellow reprogramming pioneers Shinya Yamanaka and Sir John Gurdon.

The meeting will be held in the John McIntyre Conference Centre with discounted en-suite on-site accommodation available and within easy reach of the City Centre and transport links.
