India - International Conference on Angiogenesis : Basics and Applications - March, 2012

Angiogenesis is the growth of new blood vessels from pre-existing ones, and a sound understanding of this phenomenon is important from the point of view of both promoting healthy growth of tissues and organs, as well as for controlling certain forms of cancer.
The proposed conference on Angiogenesis will bring together researchers and clinicians in the field of angiogenesis and allied areas from India and abroad to exchange their understandings and explore collaborations in this domain. The first such event to be held in Asia, this Conference will focus on topics in Basic Science, Translational Research and Drug Development in this field. Also explored would be the setting up a strong Network/ Platform of Angiogenesis Researchers and Clinicians in India with close linkages to the global community.
